What is Sycamore?

Sycamore is an informal course about the Christian faith and its relevance for life today. It gives you space to meet other people, share ideas, explore your beliefs, and think about questions that really matter.

SYCAMORE APPEAL 2023

We have been so moved to hear about the impact that Sycamore is having in our parishes, schools, university chaplaincies and prisons. Communities are coming together; lives are being changed. But this is a crucial time for us as a charity. We need to raise £60,000 to sustain our work over the coming year and to keep our core resources free to use. Find out more about our 2023 Appeal here.

How can we find happiness? What’s the meaning of life? Is there a God? Does prayer make a difference?

Sycamore is an informal course about the Christian faith and its relevance for life today. It gives you space to meet other people, share ideas, explore your beliefs, and think about questions that really matter.

Sycamore groups meet in person or online. Each session involves a short film and some time for discussion. There’s no pressure. You can be yourself without any fear of being judged.

There’s a real sense of community, a spirit of friendship, some great conversation, and often some delicious food. Everyone is welcome.
